FURY
Fury is an intersectional theater/dance piece created by Aleah Black and Mikey Gray. It is part of a larger cycle of 8 plays that are fragments of the story of Dante's Inferno. Fury is based on the 5th circle of hell, Anger, and is an examination of internalized fury, toxic masculinity, and expressions of anger. Using the myth of the Three Furies of Hell, the play looks at the distinction between generative/warranted anger, and explosive/violent rage. It follows the three Furies (Jealousy, Rage, and Righteousness) as they attempt to seduce a family from their daily, banal anger.
