HADEON

Hadeon is a twisted new tragicomedy by Evan Crommett and Aleah Black about the way we create myths, gods, and women.  The play takes place within a fantastical world, influenced in equal parts by Greek mythology, Shakespearean plays, and the aesthetic of the 1950s of post-war America. The arc of the play traces the actions of King Argos and his court and the creation of a new god, Hadeon. In addition to investigating themes of love and power, the play also explores cultural taboos like class and sexual liberation. It is a new parody and investigation of an old cliché: what happens when woman is literally made to serve man.
