Aleah Black is a puppet and mask maker/performer who studied at the collegiate level and through an apprenticeship with Amy Trompetter, a founding member of Bread & Puppet theater. Aleah creates puppets and masks of many kinds, from Waldorf table top puppetry to paper mâché masks, enormous wearable creatures to Bunraku style characters. Aleah recently completed a workshop of their newest puppet play, Thicket, at the Redwing Blackbird Theater in Rosendale, New York.
